The project is located in the center of Montreuil city, Vincennes street. The plot is narrow, surrounded by tall stone walls, the unique access to this address, from the street is through the tunnel of an ancient building.
The technical constraints, because of the plot's position, made us choose the wood construction and a housing plan organized only at the right side of the plot. The ateliers are in the ground floor and the“houses” at the last floor, an alley crosses the garden at the left side, to access the houses. This idea was inspired by the typical parisian “impasses”, but also by the communitarian lifestyle, of the Montreuil city.

This project stayed at the scheme phase, because the urban planning of Montreuil changed. Because of this the construction area became 40% of the initial plan, and the project was suspended.

Each house would have an independent entrance, the living room would be on the last floor, with high ceilings and access to the roof terrasse.
The plot access is also trough a new tunnel. In this covered part there are the access to the simplex appartements and in the end of the plot there is a big triplex turned into the half private, half common garden.
Each façade has also a particular material, inspired by the three little pigs’ tale. Wood, bricks and azulejos (Portuguese tiles) this represents the idea of creating a little village, that would respect the environment and the new life styles.
