Urban problematics:

The project is located in the ZAC Rouget de Lisle, plot F. This site is surrounded by Rue Bongard, this street is the only access to the different buildings, the dock, an adjoining plot and finally the public park. The building site, it’s almost an island, with a privileged view of the park.

The project creates three separated buildings, around a small forest. This green space will be accessible to all habitants, with small alleys, different species of trees, vegetable gardens and benches to enjoy nature.

The façades have bright and durable materials, as the Poissy city requested.

In this project, most of the apartments have a balcony, terrasse or loggia, this allows an elegant and diversified drawing of each one of the façades. The 5th façade (roof) it’s mostly accessible by the habitants, offering private terrasses and a pleasant view from the upper floors.

Housing:

The apartments, are a consequence of the know-how and the motivation of the atelier Castro Denissof et Associés to resolve and study the different needs of housing, through time.  This capacity of the atelier, associated with its collaborators, offers an important variety of typologies that should adapt to different situations and adapt to the different habitants.

In this project, each one of the typologies, took into account the sun orientation, the views and its height.

The buildings have duplex apartments in the ground floor: for a better privacy, penthouses at the last floor: to access the roof, patio apartments: for a better ventilation. The simplex apartments have generous living rooms, bedrooms and balconies.

This project, is like a micro-universe of the different ways, of living nowadays.

Conclusion:

Conclusion :

This is the last project, that I worked in the Atelier CDA. Personally, this project represents the conclusion of 6 years, learning and collaborating with the Atelier.  I’ve tried to apply in the initial proposal, all the knowledge attained, but also take into account the principles of domesticity, well-being and urban-planning of the Atelier.

The project won the competition, after several discussions and meetings, with the Poissy city, promoters and urban planners.

The project version in this web page, it’s the first one.

In architecture, what we are finally able to build, it’s always a compromise between our architectural proposal, the economic issues, and the reality of the territory.

Each project is unique, it should allow an intellectual challenge, from the architect to the society. The necessary research for an architecture proposal it’s large, but at the end, invisible when we build.

The result of this project, is the unification of all these aspects.
